The GCFA unite the power of fashion & entertainment to champion interconnected cultural change & the most inspiring efforts that drive it.

The 2024 edition of the annual awards show were co-chaired by GCFA Founder Livia Firth, actresses Cate Blanchett, Helen Hunt, Julianne Moore and Zendaya, singer, songwriter, activist and founder of The Circle NGO  Annie Lennox, Minister of Indigenous People of Brazil Sônia Guajajara, Ugandan climate justice activist Vanessa Nakate.

The annual awards celebrates people and organisations that are crucial to collective transformation in any community. The selection of the yearly honorees is evaluated according to six cultural archetypes:

The Visionary, The Messenger, The Rebel, The Healer, The Sage, The Futurist.

Embodying these roles in the sustainable landscape, the GCFA recognizes those who offer a new lens on true intersectional transformation while bringing together the next generation of global leaders driving political, social and environmental solutions for a brighter collective future.

Zendaya, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Donatella Versace, Jennifer Coolidge, Annie Lennox, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Amber Valletta and Trudie Styler, walked the red carpet at this year’s Green Carpet Fashion Awards at 1 Hotel West Hollywood, alongside some of the world’s most respected leaders, young activists and Indigenous representatives. The annual awards celebrate leaders who are creating collective transformation and showcases the need for an intersectional approach to achieve change.

THE GCFA 2024 HONOREES

This year’s special GCFA Game Changer honoree was Donatella Versace for her activism on LGBTQ+ rights. Receiving the honors are co-founder and Chair of the Elders, Mary Robinson, garment worker and union leader Kalpona Akter, musician and social justice activist, John Legend, Ugandan presidential candidate and Oscar nominee, Bobi Wine, and his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi and Greenland Indigenous leader Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq. The highlight of the night saw Vanessa Nakate, on behalf of a group of young leaders, honor U.N. Secretary General António Guterres as The Sage, in acknowledgement of his courage, clarity of message and unwavering work on environmental and social justice.
